Metal detector
At the DTU three week course in January 2021 my team and I made a fully working metal detector.

The design and construction of the metal detector body was not in the scope of the course but I decided that it would be a good challenge on the side of designing the electronic components. I was in charge of the digital electronics which involved programming an AVR ATmega328P MCU to send out a 2 kHz detection signal and then use the ADC to sample the signal coming back from the coils with 8 kHz. Then the incoming signal is processed and printed to an OLED display as amplitude and phase. If you would like to read about it in more detail feel free to download the technical project report below.
